Elite Physical Therapy and Balance Center is now offering an outpatient Occupational Therapy Program. Services include custom splinting for post operative and other more conservative conditions related to elbow, forearm, wrist and hand impairments. There is now a Certified Hand Therapist on staff with 25 years experience to assist with rehabilitation related to orthopedic and neurological conditions.

I believe one of the most challenging concepts during rehabilitation is that of neuromuscular control following injury to the peripheral or central nervous system. It is a life altering diagnosis. Early treatment is key to securing maximal functional return of the upper limb. Many times, adaptations are introduced if motor control is lost or imbalanced.
