Golfer’s Elbow At-Home Therapy

For Medial Epicondylitis, aka golfer’s elbow, a home exercise program, or HEP, is a list of exercises your therapist will assign for you to do on your own at home. It’s a toolbox that you need to use to take responsibility for your healing process. The following is an example of an early HEP your PT might give you for lateral epicondylitis:

    • Ice and Heat: for pain and inflammation control.

Golfer’s Elbow In-Clinic Therapy

For Medial Epicondylitis, aka golfer’s elbow, the first couple sessions of physical therapy will focus on gentle range of motion exercises and giving the tendons in the elbow a chance to heal. Your therapist will also talk to you about activity modification to hopefully eliminate or at least lessen the effects of repetitive motion causing your pain.
