Elite is now offering Occupational Therapy services, such as splitting, by our Certified Hand Therapy Services at Elite Physical Therapy and Balance Center. Custom elbow, wrist and hand splints are available for custom fabrication along with specialized rehab for shoulder, elbow wrist and hand diagnoses. Diagnoses include tendonitis, trauma, fractures and neural compression injuries.
On April 22nd, Anita Jean Brown was about to get into bed for the night when she turned over her ankle. She was unable to straighten it and had to sit on the floor until she could get help. She called her daughter, and they made their way to the hospital. Anita Jean had to have emergency surgery.
What is Osteoporosis?
Osteoporosis is a disease caused by weak, thinning bones. It is a silent disease often showing no signs until a fracture. Bones easily broken in normal situations are called fragility fractures, and these types of fractures are a red-flag for osteoporosis. Another common type of fracture for this disease are compression fractures of the spine.
