Cynthia Armstrong is a patient in our Cool Springs clinic in Franklin, TN. Cynthia was coming out of work on a Friday with a colleague. They were walking and talking when they stopped on the side walk to continue their conversation. Cynthia took a step to the left and her foot slipped off and down the corner of the sidewalk curb.

The Gastrocnemius and Soleus muscles (calf muscles) unite into one band of tissue, which becomes the Achilles tendon at the low end of the calf.
