Meet Linda Palmer and read her story of knee pain. Linda was a patient at Cool Springs location recently. She was participating in a country line dancing class when she injured her left knee. Two days later she was walking her dog when she became tangled up in the leash and was pulled down by her pup, injuring her right knee. After 2 doctor visits addressing her knee pain, she was diagnosed with a left possible meniscus tear and right hamstring strain.
Linda literally limped into PT in the beginning wearing a knee brace on each leg, unable to walk
long distances and giving up care of her puppy to her daughter because caring for her was
much to handle — “that was the hardest part!” states Linda. She began feeling better after her
3rd visit to Elite. She started doing some of the exercises at home and slowly began to get her
mobility back day by day. Five weeks later, Linda has her puppy back home with her and she is ready to start her new job on Monday with her HEP (home exercise program) in her hand to continue down the path of recovery.
When asked about her experience at Elite, Linda states, “Absolutely professional and caring
employees. Kristin at the front desk is so sweet and goes above and beyond! I felt safe with the
procedures and cleanliness of the facility and staying 6 feet apart (social distancing). Everything
was disinfected after each patient. Misha (PT) and Ally (PTA) were instrumental in my recovery.
They worked to strengthen my legs, hamstrings, and the IT band stretching. I will continue to do
the exercises they have given to me and I know I can call at any time if I have a question.”
Thank you Linda, for choosing Elite and trusting us to get you back to walking your puppy again.
