Ms. Ardis Rittenberry – or Ms. Ritt, as we call her – has been a patient at our Shelbyville clinic for several months now for bulging disc/sciatica. She originally came for her low back pain and complained of “walking like an old lady” because of her pain. Ms. Ritt is very active in her community and has great-grandchildren to play with, so she needed her back pain resolved quickly. Elite was happy to help.
“I had severe pain in my lower back due to a bulging disc and a pinched nerve. This sent me to Elite. Dry needling with Josh and physical therapy sessions with the staff gave me much relief.”
Unfortunately for Ms. Ritt, she contracted COVID-19 around the time we got her feeling better and she had to stop therapy. Ms. Ritt was out for several weeks. “COVID 19 left me shuffling to walk. I was extremely weak and my back was hurting again. So back to Elite I go! After several treatments with the staff I can walk with ease, stand correctly and have strength in my arms, legs and core. I can now lift my great grandchildren!”
Ms. Ritt’s goals were to get her mobility back and to be able to play with her great-grandchildren. The staff at Elite used dry needling, different strengthening, stretching, and postural exercises, as well as working on her gait and walking tolerance.
“The staff at Elite is truly professional, knowledgeable and caring. I have always been treated with respect. My strength has certainly improved and I can keep up with my great-grandchildren, all thanks to Elite Physical Therapy!”
Thank you, Ms. Ritt, for trusting us to get you back on your feet and playing with those great-grandchildren! We’re happy you chose Elite Physical Therapy and Balance to FEEL BETTER FASTER!
