Chuck’s Recovery from Back Pain

Read about Chuck’s recovery from back pain through the use of Physical Therapy. Chuck Brown has had back pain issues for a long time, but this June 2019 beach trip to Florida will be one he will remember as a painful one. He knew it was time to professionally address his chronic back pain and have a safe recovery.

Chuck enjoys being physically active whether he is running, working out at the gym or lifting 40lb boxes at work. After a few days of throwing football on the beach and going to the batting cage, Chuck knew he had done something to be in so much pain.  The drive back home was almost unbearable from his pain. He could not bend to even touch his knees. He said his back visibly shifted to the right.  Missing his gym workouts were depressing, he knew it was time to get help. That’s when Chuck came to Elite Physical Therapy and Balance Center for physical therapy.  After his first physical therapy visit, his back was significantly reduced and he was able to get a good night’s sleep. He felt better and better after each PT session. The Shelbyville PT staff helped him learn exercises the will strengthen his core, increase range of motion and decrease the pain level.

When asked about Elite Physical Therapy, Chuck said, “I looked forward to therapy because that was how I gauged my progress and Elite treats you as if you are the only patient in the facility.  I still use the stretching techniques they taught me as part of my regular workout.”

Thank you Chuck, for choosing Elite and trusting us to get you back to your everyday activities and gym workouts.
