Rob’s brave story of having both total knees replaced at once. After years of playing sports, multiple motorcycle accidents and spending 32 years in Armed Forces, it was time to re evaluate both knee issues which caused severe pain and effected my quality of life.
Step one was a scope of both knees to repair torn meniscus and trying to somewhat reduce pain on both knees. It took 10 years to realize that knee replacement is the only remedy left to reestablish quality of life.
My procedure was done by Dr. Kristie at Centennial Hospital in Nashville Tn. on 27th of Aug. 2020. Both knees were replaced on same day with physical therapy to follow. The staff greeted me and explained to me on the details about my next 20 sessions of physical therapy. By far I met a team of professionals with the facility to accommodate my needs at Elite Physical Therapy. I understood on what I have to do on my own time to help speed the recovery. According to evaluations done by my therapist, my range of motion has been greatly improved and is in an acceptable range by my physician.
I want to thank all staff members at Elite for doing an awesome job toward my recovery and getting me ready to get back to my normal life and enjoy doing what I like to do.
